Police: Vehicles damaged by fire set by protesters in Jerusalem, residents evacuated from nearby buildings

|
Police reported that following the burning of trash bins and tires in the Rehavia and Givat Ram neighborhoods in Jerusalem during a protest demanding the release of hostages, several parked vehicles were damaged and some residents were evacuated from nearby buildings. "The burning bins and tires were extinguished, thus preventing harm and risk to road users and local residents. Investigation of the incidents continues," police said. Sivan, a Rehavia resident and member of the 'Jerusalem Against Anarchy' group, sharply criticized the protest actions, telling ynet: "They're burning our neighborhood, homes were at real risk."
