Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu concluded a visit to Russia aimed at advancing the establishment of a Soviet Jewish Heritage Center in Rishon LeZion, with a budget exceeding 100 million shekels (approximately $27 million). Eliyahu is the first minister to visit Russia in the past three years. Eliyahu held meetings with representatives of Russian Jewry who are partners in establishing the center, financial partners and inspirational figures who will accompany the project. The minister also toured the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center in Moscow, considered the largest Jewish museum in Europe.
