The US federal prosecution has charged Mahmoud Amin Yacoub Al-Mohtadi, a 33-year-old Louisiana resident, with participating in the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, the New York Times reported according to a criminal complaint revealed yesterday. According to the report, the accused was identified as an activist in a paramilitary group in Gaza that fought alongside Hamas. The prosecution presented conversation transcripts in which Al-Mohtadi told men to "get ready" and that "the borders are open" and asked to "bring the rifles" to participate in the attack.
