After racist quotes, Netanyahu's spokesperson resigns: 'Goal was to assassinate my character'

Ziv Agmon, acting chief of staff and spokesperson for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has resigned from his position. This comes after unusual and racist statements he made against Likud voters and members, and even against Netanyahu himself, were published yesterday. Agmon stated: "A person who had a long-term friendly relationship with me decided to leak partial quotes from our private conversations. The publications about me from yesterday are as far from me, my views and my values as east is from west. The entire goal is to create a character assassination and harm the prime minister whom I serve." He also said: "I have decided to inform the prime minister of the end of my position and my retirement from public life."
