In parallel to the fire in Haifa, a large fire broke out in an open area near Kibbutz Hukok by the Sea of Galilee. The Fire and Rescue Services reported that homes are at risk, and seven firefighting teams are working to extinguish the fire. Four planes were dispatched to assist in the firefighting efforts. Additionally, three teams are battling a brush and thistle fire at the entrance to Kafr Qasim, where control over the fire front has been achieved. One lane at the entrance to the city from Qasim Junction has been closed to traffic.
