The Israel Tax Authority transferred NIS 50 million earlier this week to business owners in frontline communities in the north, as the first aid transferred during the war. The payment was transferred as advances on account of claims in accordance with lost income, as business owners will submit next month. In a discussion held at the Treasury Management Forum, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich instructed to expedite payments to those affected by indirect damage and to "skip any bureaucratic obstacle." While the framework for businesses across the country requires Knesset approval, in frontline communities in the north it is already being implemented because the special payment is anchored in law.
