Eyal Eshel, father of lookout soldier Roni Eshel who fell at Nahal Oz base on October 7, spoke at a rally in Habima Square calling for a state commission of inquiry. He emphasized that "from this evening one clear statement emerges - we do not recognize the ministerial committee, whose members should be among the first to be investigated by the commission of inquiry. We do not recognize the fictitious committee that Netanyahu wants to establish. We will not accept any conclusions from a political whitewashing committee. As far as we're concerned, all of Netanyahu's actions lead to the establishment of a blatantly illegal committee. Announce it explicitly - state commission of inquiry. Any other attempt is a declaration of war on Israeli democracy, the rule of law and the bereaved families."
