The government in London will establish a national police service, called the "British FBI," aimed at improving the handling of terrorism, fraud and organized crime. The new force will unite the activities of the agency that investigates serious organized crime such as drug and human trafficking, with additional national roles including counterterrorism and traffic law enforcement. At the same time, Britain plans to reduce the total number of police forces in the country to save money.
