The Lod District Court sentenced Elhai Nadav Nidam to 16 years in prison after he was convicted of serious offenses including kidnapping, rape, sodomy and indecent acts against a woman in Raanana in 2009. The court also ordered him to pay compensation of 160,000 shekels to the victim. The court fully accepted the prosecution's position.
