IDF: Hamas general security apparatus commander eliminated

|
An Israeli Air Force aircraft eliminated Mahmoud al-Asud last week, guided by Military Intelligence and Shin Bet. Al-Asud served as the Western Gaza commander in Hamas's general security apparatus. The IDF spokesperson announced this, adding that during the war and throughout the years, al-Asud was a central figure in the apparatus and constituted "a significant knowledge hub" in the organization. The IDF also reported that forces from Divisions 162 and 99 eliminated terrorists and destroyed terrorist infrastructure in northern Gaza. In the Khan Younis area in southern Gaza, the IDF destroyed additional infrastructure and attacked a warehouse used for repairing naval weaponry.
