US official: We struck military site in Iran that posed threat to forces and shipping in Hormuz

The U.S. military struck a military site in Iran that "posed a threat" to American military forces in the region, as well as to commercial shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, an American official told Reuters. According to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the U.S. military also successfully intercepted several Iranian drones that posed a "similar threat." Earlier, the Iranian news agency Fars, which is affiliated with the regime, reported three explosions heard east of the port city of Bandar Abbas in the south of the country. It was also noted that air defense systems were activated for several minutes.
