The Southern District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against three Negev residents for selling and assisting in the purchase of weapons and ammunition for terrorist Ahmad al-Uqbi, who carried out the 2024 shooting attack in Be'er Sheva in which 19-year-old Border Police officer Shira Haya Suslik was murdered. The three defendants are: Yahya al-Uqbi (26) from Hura, and a father and son, a minor at the time of the offenses, residents of the al-Uqbi diaspora. Shin Bet interrogations revealed they conducted a transaction to purchase weapons that included a pistol and ammunition, which they supplied to the terrorist while being aware that he might be interested in advancing a terror attack. The indictment charges them with offenses of weapons and ammunition trafficking and possession, and providing means for committing an act of terror.
