National Labor Federation Chairman Yoav Shimchi sent an urgent letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding an immediate decision that will prevent severe damage to the salaries of hundreds of thousands of workers ahead of Passover. In his letter, Shimchi warns of a "broken trough" that workers will reach on April 1. According to the organization's estimates, many workers are expected to suffer damage of tens of percent to their monthly salary due to forced absence and shortage of vacation days because of days of fighting and forced stay at home. Shimchi demands, among other things, direct compensation through National Insurance.
