Palestinian security prisoners set fire to cells at Rimon Prison on Wednesday in protest of the Israeli Prison Service's (IPS) decision to scatter them between different prisons and various wings after six terrorists escaped from the maximum-security Gilboa Prison earlier this week.
The IPS said that fire broke out in two cells in different wings of the prison, and guards managed to get the flames under control.
Earlier Wednesday, prisoners affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist group also started fires in their cells at Ketziot Prison to protest the move.
