Some 90% of displaced Gazan's returning to the north of the Strip have no homes they can come back to, a Hamas official told Qatari media. In an interview with the Al Araby channel he said the displaced residents have to walk more than eight kilometers (5 miles) over destroyed roads and that there are none of the recources available to receive them. "Only 800 tents arrived," he said calling for an urgent surge of humanitarian assistance.
