A three-year-old boy was fatally struck by a bus Thursday morning in the southern Bedouin town of Hura, prompting a police investigation.
According to the Magen David Adom (MDA) national emergency medical service, the incident was first reported at 7:42 a.m. The child was initially brought to a local clinic in the town, where medics found him unconscious and in critical condition. He was transported to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva, where he was later pronounced dead.

"The child was lying inside the clinic unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing," said MDA emergency medic Hanadi Azbarga. "We were told he had been hit by a bus. We continued providing advanced life-saving treatment, transferred him to a mobile intensive care unit and evacuated him to the hospital in critical condition."
Officers from the local police station arrived at the scene, and Negev District traffic investigators have opened an inquiry into the circumstances of the incident.
