Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib called Israel an "apartheid state" during a discussion in the House of Representatives regarding a $ 1 billion aid package meant to help Israel replenish its Iron Dome missile defense system.
In her speech, Tlaib claimed the house must also talk about protecting the Palestinians from Israeli attacks, adding that the U.S. should oppose the sale of weapons to "any country that violates human rights."
