Israel's COVID reproduction number -- which indicates how many people on average a single coronavirus patient infects -- now stands at 0.98, meaning the current infection wave is in decline, the Health Ministry said Sunday.
The positivity rate for tests conducted over the weekend remains higher than 22%, the ministry added
There are currently 277 COVID patients hospitalized in serious condition, of whom 102 are connected to ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic, 10,518 people have succumbed to the virus.
