Upper Galilee Council head: ‘We will not accept rocket fire, I expect the government to stand by us’

Following rocket fire toward Kiryat Shmona and the surrounding area, Asaf Lengelben, head of the Upper Galilee Regional Council, said, “We will not agree to accept any kind of ‘drip fire.’”
He argued that “this morning’s rocket fire, he second in less than a week, is proof that even as residents return to the north, the security challenge is still here.”
Addressing the government, Lengelben said, “I expect the Israeli government to be here with us not only in words but also in action.” He emphasized that “as of now, there is no change in the guidelines, and all planned events for today—including the Crane Run and the farmers’ market in Manpeh—are expected to take place as scheduled.”
