Karhi against the Public Broadcasting Corporation: 'Will broadcast a film accusing IDF of massacre and rape during the War of Independence'

Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi is threatening to revoke funding from the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation Kan if it broadcasts the documentary film "1948 - Remember and Forget" by director Neta Shoshani. In a letter sent to the corporation's CEO Golan Yochpaz, Karhi stated: "It has come to my attention that the corporation funded and intends to broadcast the film, which adopts and promotes a false and antisemitic narrative, accusing IDF soldiers of acts of massacre and rape during the War of Independence." Karhi further demands a copy of the film, threatens to approach the Finance Minister to order the revocation of the corporation's budget and asks Yochpaz to remove the film from the broadcast schedule.
