After 5 months, Hamas spokesman makes !st statement

Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif al-Qanua issued a statement Thursday evening in which he accused Israel of not reaching a deal in talks with the terrorist organization. But even more interesting is the fact that this is al-Qanua's first announcement since October 31. al-Qanua, who, like other senior officials, is believed to be hiding for fear of assassination, is one of the two Hamas spokesmen left alive since the outbreak of the war, along with Hazem Kassem. A third speaker, Mohammed Hamada, has already been eliminated. In the first message he published after more than five months, al-Qanua emphasized that "the key to any agreement with the occupation is a permanent ceasefire." He added that without the return of refugees to the northern Gaza Strip "without restrictions" and a complete withdrawal of the IDF from the Gaza Strip there will be no agreement. (Einav Halabi)
