Netanya Mayor Miriam Feirberg has decided to commemorate American right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, who was murdered at a university in Utah. Feirberg stated: "I was shocked to hear about the murder of one of our most prominent advocates in the United States. Kirk was one of the greatest supporters and lovers of the State of Israel who fought for us on the public diplomacy front. The murder further demonstrates the manifestations of antisemitism in the world." She added that "this represents an escalation in expressions of hatred toward the Jewish people worldwide. We will commemorate Charlie Kirk in Netanya and remember his work, as befitting this wonderful man."
