Government Approves: Lior Haiat to Be Appointed Ambassador to Rome

The government approved Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar's proposal to appoint Lior Haiat as Israel's ambassador to Rome and non-resident ambassador to Malta and San Marino. Haiat currently serves as deputy director-general for North America at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in Jerusalem, and previously served as Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Israeli consul general in Miami and director of the Central America and Caribbean division.
