El Al and Israir announced they will operate rescue flights for hundreds of Hasidic Jews who traveled to Uman but had their flights canceled due to congestion at Romanian border crossings. El Al stated that the company plans to operate a dedicated rescue flight from Bucharest after Shabbat ends, using an aircraft with more than 300 seats. Israir reported it will operate three flights on Sunday from Bacau and Bucharest airports.
