Knesset Legal Advisor Adv. Sagit Afik sent a letter to the chair of the special committee on the communications law, MK Galit Distel Atbaryan, in which she wrote that she objects to the manner in which the committee's debates are being conducted, contrary to her opinion presented to the Knesset Committee prior to the establishment of the special committee. In her letter, Afik detailed her concerns, including: the concern about expediting legislative procedures; the excessive influence of the communications minister and the concern about weakening the Knesset's power and authority in aspects of overseeing the government's work.
