The High Court of Justice issued a conditional order and instructed the state to explain why it will not act to return the Palestinians and their family members to their homes in the village of Jalud near Qusra, after they were forced to leave following settler violence. According to the order, the state must justify why barriers and obstacles placed on the access roads to the Palestinians' homes were not removed. It was further written that "the picture that emerges is very grim. There are plenty of questions; worthy answers - less so." The justices wrote about the violence in the West Bank that "the phenomenon damages the international image of the State of Israel as a state of law."
