U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social network that "various countries" will start paying tariffs on goods from the United States beginning August 1. The president updated that he sent letters to different countries yesterday and that "today, tomorrow and in the coming period" such letters will be sent to additional countries. According to him, the date for the tariffs to take effect will not change, and "all money will be paid on that date - no exceptions".
