Police arrested a teenager on suspicion of attacking and robbing a 78-year-old woman in the Kiryat Eliezer neighborhood of Haifa. The disturbing incident occurred on Thursday, and in footage circulated on social media, the teen—wearing what appears to be a school shirt—is seen following the woman, snatching her bag, and when she tried to resist, a struggle ensued during which she fell and was injured. Medical teams were called to the scene and treated the woman. She was taken to a hospital in the city with minor injuries. Over the weekend, police arrested the teen, who was questioned and detained—and according to the investigation findings, police will request an extension of his detention.
