Broadcaster and announcer Ofer Nachshon dies at 59

Broadcaster and announcer Ofer Nachshon, who was particularly identified with presenting Israel's points at the Eurovision Song Contest, has died at the age of 59. Since the beginning of his career in the late 80s and throughout decades in broadcasting, Nachshon worked at Kol Israel, the Israel Broadcasting Authority and later also on radio channels in the corporation. He began announcing the points at Eurovision in 2009 and did so again in 2017 when he announced the closure of the Israel Broadcasting Authority during the broadcast.
