The Health Ministry and police issued a public warning against the product 'Gat Drops,' which is marketed as a natural product, while in reality the drops contain the drug methamphetamine. Police and the Enforcement and Supervision Division at the Health Ministry identified the marketing and distribution of drugs disguised as a product: laboratory tests revealed that the seized products contain a dangerous synthetic drug (methamphetamine), which has a high addiction potential and its consumption can be life-threatening. Extracts and preparations containing substances derived from the khat plant, including drops, beverages and capsules, are included in the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance and their consumption, marketing and production are prohibited by law.
