Foreign Minister Gideon Saar responded to U.S. President Donald Trump's call to cancel Netanyahu's trial, saying that "while the prosecution was working on preparing cross-examination, Netanyahu was focused on preparing for Israel's historic operation in Iran." Saar added that the Prime Minister "is forced to testify daily in a 'trial' that has already lost all value and has been going on for more than five years," reiterated the judges' suggestion to the prosecution to reconsider the bribery charge in the case and called for ending the affair through a plea deal.
