Last month's riots in Los Angeles: Half of National Guard troops to be withdrawn from city

|
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered the return of 2,000 National Guard troops who were deployed to Los Angeles, California last month to deal with protests that erupted in the city following the Trump administration's immigration policies. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell announced this, noting that "even after 2,000 National Guard personnel return, an additional 2,000 will remain in Los Angeles, alongside 700 Marines."
