Defense Minister Benny Gantz warned on Tuesday that Iran's nuclear program is on the verge of a breakthrough.
"We see that Iran is moving towards a level of enrichment that will allow it, if it decides, to be a nuclear threshold state," Gantz said during a discussion of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
"We will invest in attack and defense capabilities, improve technological superiority and accelerate efforts to ensure that, although Iran is a global and regional challenge, Israel will always have the ability to defend its citizens on its own."
