Livia Link, the Consul General of Israel in Houston, said after the release of the hostages from the Beth Israel synagogue in Texas that "we are all very relieved now."
"No Jew should go to the synagogue in the morning and fear that he will not return home... Luckily for us because of the Omicron [the synagogue] moved some of its activities to Zoom. The fact that there were only four people inside the synagogue at the time is great luck," she added.
