Netanyahu’s office responds to ‘Qatar-Gate’ arrests, blasts ‘Deep State’

The official X account of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office posted a statement Wednesday following the police detention of two suspects in the ongoing "Qatar-Gate" investigation, which examines alleged ties between employees of his office and the Qatari government.
"In America and in Israel, when a strong right wing leader wins an election, the leftist Deep State weaponizes the justice system to thwart the people's will," the post read. "They won't win in either place! We stand strong together."
Israeli police have not released details about the case, citing a 30-day gag order on the investigation. Netanyahu has not personally commented on the detentions.
