Hamas delegation is in Cairo to discuss cease-fire proposals, report says

Sources told the Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq that a delegation of Hamas members is in Cairo to discuss cease-fire proposals with Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamal. Earlier, a senior Egyptian official told the AP news agency that Hamas rejected the Israeli offer to release the hostages in exchange for a two-month cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, and giving senior Hamas officials the opportunity to leave the Strip. According to the source, Egypt and Qatar are working on their own proposal to bridge the gaps between the parties. (Lior Ben Ari)
