Israel’s Prime Minister Yair Lapid spoke with officials of the Israeli army’s southern command and briefed them on the latest security developments in and around Gaza, amid fears of a possible attack by militants from the Palestinian enclave.
"We understand the difficulty of the residents of the south and are with them in it."
"We will not accept a long-term situation in which the terrorist organizations will disrupt the lives of the residents," he continued.
"We will not shy away from using force to restore normal life in the south of the country, and we will not stop the policy of arresting terrorist operatives in the West Bank."
