The head of the Israeli Bar Association, Amit Bachar, has called for an investigation into Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following claims made by Shin Bet Chief Ronen Bar in his letter responding to Supreme Court petitions against his dismissal. "When Ronen Bar writes that the Prime Minister asked him to issue a professional security opinion that personally benefits Netanyahu and aims to prevent the progression of his trial, the State of Israel should cry out," Becher stated. "Netanyahu's requests are illegal, dangerous, and raise serious suspicions of criminal activity. They clearly demonstrate that he is in a severe conflict of interest and is systematically violating the conflict-of-interest arrangement he signed."
