According to the statement, Hazem was killed during an exchange of fire while he was in a vehicle. The IDF conducted an airstrike against the vehicle due to the presence of two additional terrorists with Hazem in the vehicle. Reportedly, Hazem was involved in carrying out and planning terror attacks throughout the West Bank. The two terrorists killed with Hazem were his subordinates who were involved in shooting attacks against Israeli settlements.
