The Political-Security Cabinet decided by a vote of eight members, with one dissenting and one abstaining, to adopt the proposed resolution brought before it by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the proposal, "In the absence of a change in the national assessment, Israel will work to prevent the collapse of the Palestinian Authority, while advancing the lawsuit to cease its activities against Israel in the international legal-political arena, from the incitement in its media and education systems, from payments to the families of terrorists and murderers, and from the illegal construction in Area C." It was also determined that "the prime minister and the defense minister will propse to the cabinet measures to stabilize the civil situation in the Palestinian arena. (Itamar Eichner)
