European intelligence source says only dozens killed in Gaza hospital blast

Contrary to the announcement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health that at least 471 people were killed in the explosion at a hospital in Gaza City on Tuesday evening, a senior European intelligence official estimated in an interview with the French news agency AFP that the number of dead was "a few dozen." Hamas claimed that the explosion was caused by an Israeli Air Force attack, but the IDF said that it was caused by a failed launch by Islamic Jihad. (AFP)
