Israeli billionaire Teddy Sagi reportedly evaded an assassination attempt in Cyprus, after local authorities arrested a 38-year-old Azerbaijani citizen which was under police surveillance, and who was in possession of a pistol, a silencer, as well as a large amount of bullets.
According to local news website Alpha News, the Cypriot police suspect that the suspect is a member of the Russian mafia, and that he planned to carry out five "assassination contracts" in total. Police are now also conducting a manhunt for possible accomplices.
