Israel's foreign ministry condemned on Saturday Norway's decision to mark food products made in Israeli settlements - including areas of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights - under the claim that it only recognizes Israeli sovereignty within the pre-1967 borders.
“This is a decision that will not contribute to the promotion of Israeli-Palestinian relations,” the Foreign Ministry said.
“It will adversely affect the bilateral relations between Israel and Norway and impact the relevance of Norway’s role in the advancement of Israeli-Palestinian relations."
Norway's decision is in line with the 2019 EU decision that goods manufactured outside of the pre-67 borders must be marked as settlement products.
