IDF spokesman Brigadier General Daniel Hagari issued a statement in English to the foreign media and presented evidence that the explosion at the Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza occurred as a result of a failed launch by the Islamic Jihad."There were reports of an explosion at the hospital, according to our intelligence, Hamas realized that it was a launch by Islamic Jihad and decided to start a media campaign. They understood with absolute certainty that it was a false launch of Islamic Jihad that hit the hospital. An analysis of our aerial photographs proves that there was no direct damage to the hospital but to the parking area." (Ynet)
