Guy Sasson defeated Turkish Ahmet Kaplan for the bronze medal in wheelchair tennis at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. So far, Israel has won nine medals in the Paralympic Games. Sasson lost the first set 7:5 and was behind 4:1 in the second set, but then completely turned the game around by winning the set 4:6 and completed an easy 1:6 in the third set. This is the first time Israel has won a medal in wheelchair tennis since Noam Gershoni won gold in London in 2012.
