Up to 10,000 Iranian protesters may have been killed, expert warns

Nati Toobian says at least 5,000 Iranians were killed during a similar uprising seven years ago

As many as 10,000 Iranian protesters may already have been killed by the regime, according to Nati Toobian, an expert on Iranian affairs.
Toobian said he spoke with an Iranian journalist on the ground who cited that figure, noting that amid the widespread riots and unrest, it is plausible. He added that during the previous wave of protests seven years ago, around 5,000 Iranians were killed.
