US softens calls for Ukraine payments on war aid, Bloomberg News reports

The United States appears to have tempered demands for Ukraine to pay for aid received during its war with Russia during talks over an economic deal between the two nations, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Following a round of negotiations in Washington last week, President Donald Trump's administration has reduced its estimate for the cost of the assistance the U.S. provided to Kyiv since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion to about $100 billion from $300 billion, the people told Bloomberg News.
