Yael Dayan -- who served as a member of the Knesset from the left-wing Israeli Labor party between 1992 and 2003, and from 2008 to 2013 was the chair of Tel Aviv city council -- has died at the age of 85. Her service on the city council ended with the 2013 election. She has championed both LGBT and women's causes throughout her career. She is the daughter of Moshe Dayan and sister of Assi Dayan and Udi Dayan. (Gilad Meiri)
