The IDF announced Tuesday it had eliminated Muhammad al-‘Ajlah, a Hamas commander in the Shijaiyah area of Gaza, in a targeted strike. Al-‘Ajlah had recently replaced Haitham Rizq Abd al-Karim Sheikh Khalil, another Hamas battalion leader eliminated by forces last week.
According to the IDF, al-‘Ajlah oversaw a combat support company within the Shejaiya battalion, responsible for arming Hamas terrorists with weapons used to attack Israeli civilians and troops. He is the fifth Hamas battalion commander killed in the war and the third since renewed operations in Gaza began earlier this year.
