Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said on Friday that Israelis must learn living alongside COVID-19 and that vaccines alone are not enough to beat the uptick in Delta variant cases.
"Whoever thought vaccines alone would solve the problem — they won't," he said during a Cabinet meeting. "We must set to set a strategy where we bring in as many vaccines as possible on one side, but also recognize their limitations on the other.
"Our comprehensive strategy includes vaccine continuity, creating new coronavirus rules over time, monitoring the situation on the ground and self-reflection. This is a great responsibility in collaboration with the public. Our responsibility is to create vaccine continuity, inoculate people and set guidelines — but we must also get the public used to it."
